Please dont give up. I have went through one of the worst years of my life...moved out of state, pregnant at the time with my 2nd child whose father never gave damn, and i ended up homeless , and jobless , and carless, and still havent found ajob. But through all this i now have a home, and a car. But now i been searching for a job since Jan. 2008 and still havent found a job. So everytime just when i am at the point of giving up something changes....maybe not always the way you want them to but its jsut enough to make a difference on my stress level. And then my baby who is now 7 months old is always gettign sick. So im almost thankful that i dont have a job as i prob would keep losing them because my infant keeps gettting sick and i dont have family here.
So just hang in there and maybe things will change for the better. You are doing well to to have full time school and work. Im sure you dont get to see your cildren much but when school is all over you will be thankful you made it and will look back on yourself, and say..wow I cannot believe i made it through that much with 3 children....
My name is Aleshia and I am 25 with 2 children, a 7 month old and almost 3 year old...i moved from TN to NC last year in search and hopes of attending a college for marine biology once i got my residency. I moved with very little money and was pregnant at the time and the father never gave a damn.... so long story short...I was able to get into a homeless shelter. By being at the homeless shelter (we actually stayed at churches every week and moved to a different church every sunday evening..with all our belongings) the program is call Interfaith Hospitality Network. By being in this I was able to qualify for all my needs from medicaid to housing ...the purpose of the program is to help you get on your feet and you are required to search for a job...so since you said you had a hard time getting assistance..i know that i homeless shelter is the last place you want to be especially with an infant, but if it means getting the financial means you need to survive then leave it open...i was in the shelter for 5 months and had my baby that last month before i finally was able to find a place to stay with section 8..if you dont know about that...you get approved for so much for a rent voucher which goes directly to the landlord. and you just search for any place that accepts section 8 and the rent has to be for the amount that was stated....I now live in mobile home., although housign was extremely hard to find around here because they closed all public housing so those people took everything out there.....but with your grandmother needing help i,m not sure..is there options for her as far as houising?
Just giving you an example of ways to get t.he assistance you need.
